closer look

often times you overlook
the smaller things around
that may not stand in front of you
yet are waiting to be found

the ones that will take some time
for you to take a second glance
as by taking a closer look
your experience you will enhance

look at the microcosm
the smaller world that exists
as by looking at the smaller details
you'll be closer to finding bliss

as in life all is not apparent
things lie in layers within
if that is not how you lived your life
today's a good day to begin

head off on your adventures
go and seize the day
but don't pass by the smaller things
you may discover along the way

as it may just be the thing
that you needed all this time
so take a closer look
you'll never know what you'll find
