i'm the happiest

i've noticed that i'm happiest
when you're in my life
as you save me from the depths
from agony and from strife

you make me giggle and L-O-L
whenever i turn around
and you're the first one to help
when i've fallen to the ground

you're always there with nourishment
when hunger pains exists
and in my perfect friend
you've got everything on my list

you find the deepest wounds in me
and mend them with your thread
and you turn my horrific moments
into memorable ones instead

you make me anxious for your replies
as they brighten up everything around
it's like hunting for buried treasure
and you're the gold i've found

no matter what the analogy or anectdote
they all will tell you the same
that you would be just as incredible
if you went by any other name

as it's you and what's inside you
that has brought joy to this wond'rous place
as you've made my world incredible
and brought a smile to my face
