The Life of a Famous Musician & Artist

Okay, so maybe not FAMOUS, but can't a boy dream????

A student at our school gathered the students and staff in order to create a music video which was trying to bring the campus together to share in a common project. It was kind of neat to be apart of the video, however, I've become too famous for my own good with people imitating my moves (luckily very few were shown in the video), calling my Katy, or asking for my autograph (as a joke of course). In any case, now all the people in the video share a common bond and possibly have created a different image for ourselves in the eyes of the student body and the staff, I assume. Of course, I'm sure my students were used to this type of antics from me, as making music videos is one of my favorite hobbies.

I have been working on a music video for the cover of Rocketeer. Currently, I have been shooting footage of people, as well as doing self-produced scenes, which is incredible difficult to get the right lighting, focus, and angles. Soon, I can get to the editing and then shooting the filler scenes when I get back from Washington, DC. I also am going to re-record the soundtrack so that it's completely original (obviously using the lyrics and the sheet music). We'll see how it all ends up and if I will end up shooting my final scenes on February 21st. I guess with all that's going on, an early March date would be a good target date for completion! I am somewhat excited for what I can produce.

I've also approached the completion and publishing of my poetry book! I did finish my first book, however, I decided that if I was really going after publishing it, it may be smart to make it as comprehensive as possible. Obviously proofreading and reformatting the first fifty poems will be a chore, however, before the summer comes, I should be able to find my book online at Amazon, Borders, or Barnes & Nobles, I hope :P We'll see, but that would be super cool. My target is 100 poems, however, we'll see what comes about over the next few months.

In any case, music videos, poetry, and of course travel plans are all in my agenda now along with my normal school, MUN, basketball, and track preparations. It'll be exciting to see what February will bring. I know it will bring lots of time consuming days ... next week is a 75-80 hour week excluding my first day of travel to DC :(
