if we weren't meant for eternity
if in union we were not meant
i'd hope that someone like you
is with whom in eternity i went

the qualities you posses
both within and without
are far superior than any i have met
and i say that, without a single doubt

your passions and your energy
and all that you possess
to find someone equivalent
would be the ultimate test

the interest that you show in all
the things that i truly love
the similar love and compassion
you have for the One above

the words you find to uplift me
when i fall down into the pits
and when a piece of me is missing
you're the piece that seems to fit

a simple smile can light the darkest
of nights that i may come across
and you serve as my compass
when i seem to be ever so lost

to say you were so perfect
a lie i may have told
but to say you're perfect for me
i'd say, you got me sold

if i would have my picking
it'd be you i'd have forever by my side
as i know that for an eternity
we'd have an awesome ride

yet if that is not our destiny
and in union we could not exist
all the qualities that you posses
would be on my checklist
