If Time Had Passed on By ...

if time were to pass away
the sunset coming near
would you know the words i
yearn to whisper in your ear

would you know what's inside
what is locked up in this cage
the many stories that i write
on my life's journal pages

did you know the eagerness
as i made my way back home
throwing my stuff all over
then reaching for my phone

could you even tell the feelings
that inside i left within
to show you all i've withheld
i would not know where to begin

could you even imagine how
special you are in my domain
i know that with your absence
life would never be the same

so if the time had passed on by
i'd whisper these words right to
you're the reason i keep on living
and my life is special because of you
