~:[CH3 - Day 188]:~ When a Loss is a Win
When the final buzzer sounded, we just fell short after a valiant comeback in our game. I was asked to fill in during the girls JV game and had Ganesh come along to help out. However, while we ended up falling short on the scoreboard, we actually won by default, as the game was a pickup game against a mixed squad, after the original team we were scheduled against forfeited. Even if we didn't win by forfeit, it would have been a positive , as the girls played pretty well especially considering I went in there not knowing the players or anything that they ran. It's pretty tough making adjustments through the game especially when you don't know your personnel to well and you're playing a fairly good team. In the end, we had a fun time, finished it off with a nice dinner with the coaches which was full of a day of catching up with people. Before dinner, I ran into an alumni, the infamous Dean! Earlier in the day, the coaches and alumni + 1 grabbed a good bite to eat at Pho Tasty and just being at practice was a nice breath of fresh air, except for all the paperwork I had to collect during the morning. Regardless, it's nice being back in the swing of things. Now I just hope that my sleeping pattern can get back on track. Hopefully no more 3:15am wake ups, trying to burn three hours before practice starts.
