~:[CH7 - Day 139]:~ Masterful Enough
I never like the hear that I did just good enough, as when I do things, I don't like to do them poorly. There are areas in my life that I need to work on that, but for the most part, the things I take pride in, I try to do them well. Similarly, one of my athletes wasn't happy to qualify for Masters, because it wasn't his best performance, however, it was masterful enough. Without any misses, he easily cleared 6-2 and 6-4, but went out at 6-6. With the swirling win, no one was jumping well, as an expected low finish with that mark, earned him second in CIF. However, there is work to do and he will have another week to get himself prepared and healthy. Other other athlete who competed competed well, but also didn't get a good time (much like the rest of the field), as she placed sixth in both races, one spot higher than her ranking. It was a good end for her, but obviously, she wanted more and she'll have two more years to do it. I ended up getting treated to a nice meal after we put away all our equipment and it make me appreciate all that I have. There are days that will leave me frustrated, but in the end, the work that is put in is eventually paid off in the slow progress that is made that seems to be just masterful enough.
