I always consider time trial as the start of it all. It's not the first day of practice, but it shows you what your team is shaping to look like in the future. With a school record broken and some improvements, this could become a great season, but as the season is long and arduous, you never really can tell. Cross country is a tough sport, because while skill is beneficial to have, hard work, training (physical and mental), and health are huge factors. It's always nice to complete this process with our ohana standing next to each other and I only can hope that this season is a success. At the beginning it's always hard to tell exactly where you'll end up, but if today's and indication, it will be a fun season.
