~:[CH6 - Day 61]:~ Piece by Piece

~:[CH6 - Day 61]:~ Piece by Piece
Most of the most majestic places in the world were not built in a day. Then why would we expect our lives to manifest something special so quickly? I am guilty of seeking instant gratification as I try to win the lottery and the like. However, in many cases, I also value success that is gained by hard work, grinding it out, day after day. As while there are sacrifices involved and many times, you being left alone working until the late hours of the night, it all becomes worth it when all that hard work begins to pay off. I often remind my new runners, try not to become a varsity athlete on your first day. Many of the athletes with talent try to do too much and end up with a setback. Similarly, I remind students that there will be frustration along the way, but ultimately, you must slowly learn what you need to and over time, you'll have the knowledge and experience to succeed. Life is like a Lego building set, as there are so many pieces that can go anywhere and depending on what you are trying to build, you can find a way to create something with your own touch to it. Some of these tasks are easy and some are way more difficult, especially when you do not have all the pieces you need. In the end, however, all that work you put in is worth it. We go through life trying to quickly finish everything and get things done, however, why don't we all slow down and appreciate the fact that you have to grind a few things out, as reach the end will just be that much sweeter.
