~:[CH6 - Day 82]:~ Time to Perform
It was amazing to catch the performances of these dancers who visited us for Japan as they came to compete for the Miss Dance Drill Team competition. They showed off their skills and wowed our students with my favorite being the domino section of their set. The day hit a road block as we did not get a third bus for our track and field meet and scrambled to figure out what to do. I ended up having to shuttle athletes and despite our mishap, the La Mirada coach still felt compelled to start the meet early. I was upset at the lack of common courtesy. I decided to focus on our athletes' performances and there were some spectacular ones. We had a large number of PRs in different areas, some growth and even an athlete who jumped to one of the top marks in the state at 6' 8" in the high jump. While we ended up with only one divisional win, I was proud of our growth and effort and hope that with a little bit of health, we'll be back on track. After a nice meal, I came home exhausted, but pretty happy with how the performances of the day went.
