~:[CH11 - Day 114]:~ The Source of Life
My friend was in a bit of a bind and with my schedule opening up on a day I had blocked, I ended up volunteering to help him out. The task? A lot of driving, sadly through traffic. Although it was a trek, it actually was nice to catch up. I think one of the sources of life for me is to step to the plate in situations like these. It's out of the blue, but offering up the help, not only helped him out of the bind, but ended up being a good time. Just because you don't hang out with someone all the time doesn't mean you can't step up and help them out when they're in need. Just before break, I covered the character lesson with one of my classes. We discussed "paying it forward" and I guess today was a little like that. One day, I'll find myself in a similar bind and I know someone will step up and help me when I'm in a bind. For now, however, these acts of service are something that rejuvenate me and really keep me going and truly are my source of life. What is your source of life?
