~:[CH13 - Day 224]:~ When Life Crashes Down

~:[CH13 - Day 224]:~ When Life Crashes Down

I was excited to have a light weekend as I headed into the first week of school. I had plenty of time to get things organized and planned. I took the morning to chat with an alumni as they prepped for school, then headed home to work or so I thought. My computer shut down and kept freezing on boot. I tried my normal fixes, adjusted the restore points and now I am running a diagnostic. Of course, that took the prep time I had planned. I'm not too worried about the majority of my files as they're backed up aside from a few newly created ones. However, as someone who loves efficiency, it definitely can be annoying. Technology and related things has strangely been challenging lately. From camera issues to credit card fraud and hacking, I've encountered a few tech-related issues I am not used to, but that's just how things are sometimes; life can crash down on you at once. I'll probably have to rebuilding the computer or start anew, but I guess this reminds me, that it's similar to life. When things go awry, you can either give up, start with a clean slate, or grind through it. Sometimes in these moments, it takes just a quick refresher to help you see clearly, like that moment you come out of a car wash, realizing just how dirty your windshield was. Life doesn't always lend you the time to realize what needs a little refreshing in your life, but at some point, the error message in life doesn't mean that life is crashing down, it's just a reminder that it's time for a tune up or a need for a fresh start. As I waited for my computer to complete it's testing, I looked back over my photographs from Asia, messaged a few friends, and did a few things that I've been meaning to get to. I wasted a bit of time I wanted to make use of, but instead of simply moping about the situation, I kept a positive outlook hoping things will work out, while also creating a plan B. When it rains, it pours, but at least you'll know that down the road, all that rain will mean greener pastures ahead.
