~:[CH12 - Day 174]:~ Life's Cycle
Today was laundry day! It's obviously too much to pack a set of clothes for the entire trip, so I plan on doing it halfway through. I should actually do it twice (every third of the trip), but I'll let that be decided next time. I could have set it and then left, but decided to stay and do my work there. I watched the laundry toss from time to time as the blue UN polo matched the color of the washer. I wish I took a better photo, but looking back, it would have been awkward to have a photoshoot in the store. As it cycled, it made me think of our daily routines. Everyday in our lives is a cycle. Each day is a rotation and with each rotation, our clothes never fall back the same way. Sometimes we have the perfect day and we wish that we could just repeat that day each and every day, but the reality is, it will not replicate. If you took a picture of each rotation and analyzed it, there would not be a similar photo, just like a snapshot of our day will not come without its variables. Change is inevitable and while we may live our lives similarly from day to day, just like the wash, the stages of the wash will change. Once it starts, its different stages will move at different paces, various elements will be introduced until finally, the cycle slows down when it reaches its end. Our cycles of life are limited and at some point our life's buzzer will sound. If we had the chance when we finally passed to look back and see all that was part of our daily cycle, I hope that when we sort through everything, we'll find such a variety of memories we were glad that were part of our lives. While we may not see how those things helped display variety in our lives, I'm sure that others watching our daily cycle noticed the colors these things added to us. May our cycles of life be many.
