My head was spinning a bit last night so I wondered how I would feel in the morning. In the end, I popped up and felt pretty good when I woke up after a nice long sleep and a bit hydration. Of course, it did feel a little weird to step back on campus after an absence, but I guess that's the life of a high school teacher, expect the unexpected. From a flock of stuffed chickens to a random fire alarm, the day itself was filled with moments that left question marks in my mind, but at the same time, moments that felt more like the cycle I had before I left. I caught up on the grading I needed to do and finished up a few tasks I had, which made me feel like I got back into rhythm quickly. While I still feel like I need to find the push to get started on tasks, once I got into it, I was able to be fairly productive. Yes, it felt a little strange, but it also felt a little like normal. It may be a week or so until I get back into the full swing of things, but for now, I'll do my best to survive these stranger days.
