~:[CH6 - Day 220]:~ The Light Around Us
We woke up early and headed down to Rainbow Falls. The water levels were so high that we couldn't head down to the bottom, so we headed down to the lower falls and enjoyed our lunch there. It was nice hiking with the team and while it got hot and I was tired, I got to spend time with my team and really enjoyed the hike. I was exhausted though and was able to grab a bit of shut eye before dealing with the rest of the day. While the smoke rolled in around us, all the troubles that we encountered felt like nothing compared to all the good that surrounded me. There are problems that will pop up in our lives and how we deal with it is up to us. Can we truly see the light around us and know that everything will be alright? Can we see the light that is waiting for us? There is goodness in everyday and opportunities to meet people, to grow, to create memories and the like. As we look up, we'll be able to see the light that surrounds us, if we're willing to believe that it exists. As the water flowed down over lower falls, it could have been easy to see it as a disappointment since the lower area of Rainbow Falls wasn't open, but it ended up being such a wonderful day with experiences we didn't have previously. As tomorrow will bring its challenges, I will continue to look for the light that surrounds me, as I know that it is always around.
