~:[CH10 - Day 161]:~ Closing Time
Another year, another chapter ends. It's weird because this is a class I know decently well, but at the same time not. I knew them during their first two years, but have had a long stretch without them. I've been luck to cross paths with many of them over the course of the pandemic, however, sadly, we missed out on many opportunities we could have had. Regardless, you grow an appreciation for the opportunities you had and as student after student walked by, memories of the past continued to pop up. Closing time for the school year is always a bit hectic, however, at the same time, there are many moments to cherish in the final stretch. For many, they will be happy to have wrapped it all but, I know still that many will remember some of the precious memories that they made during their years at Cerritos High School. It has gotten easier to close another chapter as you learn to deal with the separation, however, I would never say it is easy. There's always something you're going to miss and this year, we had a few staff members "graduate" as well. One thing I've always found that makes this process easier is that the climax of their stories are still to come in the chapters ahead and it's exciting that although this chapter is about to close, their greatest chapters still await them. Congratulations Class of 2021!
