The pandemic may have been bad for many, but it was a blessing for me. As much as I wanted to be doing, it was nice to slow down and be able to spend some time at home. Last year I appreciated, but after a full year and more, I appreciate it even more. To see my dad regularly, to watch sumo tournaments with my parents and then re-enact them, to simply just have time to chat and bond were quite amazing. I probably have spent more time with my parents this year than in so many other years combined and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity. Over the pandemic, my dad has been crafting race tracks and cars, a bowling lane and even revamped my podium. There was so much productivity, as on a daily basis he would be at work. That's the story of his life though. He's always gone above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and more. To my dad, on your birthday, I thank you for all that you do and look forward to all the memories we can create moving forward.
