dice

sometimes you just feel it
it's time to take that chance
to roll the dice, a risk
it may seem at first glance

yet what you may not realize
is that with each and every roll
you begin to find stability
you seem to gain control

as sometimes life is unstable
because in it, opportunities we pass
as the safe road may be productive
but how long will that last?

you must give up some security
as you leave that protected zone
what you gain, however
is now a world that you can own

sure you will not always win
you may never come out ahead
at least you found out your potential
rather than simply wondering instead

as days will come and days will go
what will you do to make a change
grab these dice, take that chance
before these opportunities are out of range

rise up beyond your anxiety
see what theses dice behold
as you'll discover something greater
take a chance, it's your time to roll
