outside on the balcony
a place of solace is found
from the great adventure
that's kept me moving on the ground
the waves are very calming
the wind, a gentle breeze
to re-energize my batteries
it's exactly what i need
a time for restful mediation
to regain back all control
as the eventful experiences
have surely taken their toll
the sail boats gently sway across
a bird or two fly by
as i sit back and just relax
looking at a rich, blue sky
i'll look back on these days in fifty years
knowing these were the times
i'm thankful for all that i experience
which will always be a history of mine
so as the clock races ahead
it's at this moment it all slows down
as now is my time to connect with myself
where in my day, my peace can be found
