~:[CH5 - Day 326]:~ Win Whether I Lose or Draw
All throughout the morning, I kept thinking, no matter what, I'm not going to lose today. By day's end, I knew I didn't. Why? Simply because spending a few days with your father can't be beat. As we ventured through Bali Hai without being disturbed by any other golfers, it felt as if we had our own private course, and we could just enjoy each other's company. By round's end, I ended up playing much better as I settled in and although I missed a few chances at birdie, it wasn't about the score, but about the quality time. We ventured to meet up with JJ to grab ramen, which has been our tradition. It was nice catching up and seeing him and I always look forward to seeing how things are going. We ended up at Bacchanal and ended up in a fairly short wait, eating less than an hour after checking in. For those who know, that is quick. We ended up being seated next to a young couple from Oklahoma. One had been to Las Vegas once and one, it was his first time. It was so enjoyable to chat with them and simply see them enjoy the experience. It was a different world for them both, as they let us know and how excited they were about it was refreshing including the free drinks at the slots and the real cloth end of dinner towelettes. Another win for the day. I closed out the night on the electronic roulette machine and sat down with Roger who is an old cross country teammate. It always is great catching up with him and just chatting about what's going on. I ended up winning on that machine, which is amazing, because normally on electronic roulette, it's an automatic loss, but whether I won, lost or broke even, it would be a win for me. The ability to spend time with my father and catch up with amazing and genuine friends is something I will appreciate every moment of my life and sometimes, even when I end the night with my pockets empty, my heart will always be full of love since the people around me are what make me rich.
