~:[CH7 - Day 341]:~ The Right Detour
In life, we often have a direction in which we are a headed and a destination where we want to be. There are so many times in life that we focus so much on that, that we lost our way and get lost in the process. As we drove from Rocklin to Reno, we had that destination and even a deadline, yet we still took some time for a quick detour and there was no doubt that it was the right decision. As we ventured out, we found over knee-deep snow pack that was untouched and gorgeous scenes of a wintry wonderland which was the start of a fabulous day to kick off our time in Reno. I've often been a very destination-drive person, yet I also began to figure out that sometimes it blinds you from the wonderful things that await you along the way. My hope is that you can keep an eye on the destination, but don't forget to look around at all that surrounds you, as sometimes a detour awaits you that is exactly what you need at the right moment. In love, in career, and in life, don't be so quick to get to where you're going, but rather take you time to discover all the doors that are available to you, as you may just find the one that you've been looking for all along. Today, I could have settled for a direct route, however, if I had, the greatest moment of the day would have been missed. Every once in awhile, the detour is just right.
