~:[CH13 - Day 88]:~ How Times Change
Today I made sure to check in with my students who needed to make up assignments and get them on what they needed to do to raise their grades. It's been such a hectic year, that I had not done that yet this semester, but I knew it was something I needed to take care of today. It meant a fairly relaxed day of teaching as students got to work, while I met with each one. Overall, my class has changed a bit more, as I allow more time for in class work so that these students are more likely to pass. Still yet, I do get those who can't focus in and complete those assignments. Regardless, I will always at least give them one last shot at bringing their grades up and passing. It was a perfect day for two alum to come in and speak briefly with my seniors. I was happy to see two of my former SGs. For them as well, things have changed. They've learned, they've grown, yet at the same time, they're both still two genuinely wonderful people. I ended this final day of spring break happy as I wrapped up my tasks for the day and was uplifted by the visit of the alumni as I look forward to recharging in the days ahead. Many years, I went into spring break hoping it would pass by quickly, but this year, I hope that spring break can decide to take its time. Who knows how things will change tomorrow or the day after, but regardless, I hope that we find ourselves in a balance between developing the good within us, while also making changes to our lives as everything around us changes. It's not an easy task to adapt to it all, but I hope we can find a way through and find ourselves on the other side of a brand new day.
