~:[CH9 - Day 11]:~ The Mysteries of Self

~:[CH9 - Day 11]:~ The Mysteries of Self
When you're alone, it doesn't mean you're lonely. It's an interesting topic to discuss, but there isn't really a single answer. People who are alone will say they are lonely, some will say that they are not, and others will say that they're not when they really are. It's one of those battles that ranges within ones self and you wonder just what will come out of it. Personally, to sit atop this stairwell thinking to myself or working alone would be precious time to reload and rethink. However, sometimes being alone, we lock ourselves into this dark prison not knowing of a way out. You feel confined and feel alone and know not how to deal with it. That is the mystery of self. Do you know yourself well enough to give yourself what you need? I have a lot of friends around me who give so much of themselves and I always hope that they are also giving themselves what they need. Similarly, the students and athletes I work with have to figure the same things out. Life is not easy, it's a challenge and as we struggle, we often head into two directions, more into the darkness or we find that light to life us up. Often, it's those around us that help us decide that, but ultimate, that decision lies within us. For each other's sake, give everyone the benefit of the doubt to help avoid plunging them deeper into the darkness, but also don't fail to reach out to those who are the ones who are so giving, as sometimes they are that way because they know what others may need; something they need themselves. Strangely, this whole thought grew from the story within Harry Potter and while it's not the storyline, it made me see just what our actions can do to those around us and see how we can allow ourselves to start figuring out the mysteries of self. We may never figure out ourselves, but as I imagine myself a top this staircase, I start the process of unlocking the first mystery of self in hopes that there are many more doors waiting to be opened.
