~:[CH9 - Day 8]:~ The Rich & The Poor
One of our simulations in class has been on the meeting of the Estates General. With an MUN class, a lot of the third estate are comprised of very vocal individuals, so a bit of chaos ensues, which is also why they meet outside. Whenever I talk about this topic, I always think about the privileges between classes. While most of the third of estate was comprised who were on the upper end of that estate, they still lacked some of the privileges given to those in the first two estates. It's definitely something that we need to look at going forward so that people are able to survive. Sure there are a number of issues while people struggle, but also a number of advantages that are given to those with wealth and power. It could be a long debate, but I just hope that we can all think about what is going on and hopefully we can at least voice our opinions on what more we can do to help this world out. For now, I can just shake my head especially at my fourth period, as the third estate was comprised of a rowdy bunch of teenagers ready for a revolution and hoping to get what they wanted. First they asked, but if we went longer, much like the French, they might have just gone and taken it.
