~:[CH5 - Day 106]: ~ Lost in it All

~:[CH5 - Day 106]: ~ Lost in it All
I slept late and so waking up was pretty challenging. Since I had a long drive, I decided to sleep in a bit. It was a good decision. I had the energy to drive, as I headed from Portland into the White Mountain National Park. Without a plan. I ended up stopping at the information center and it was the best decision ever. The guy working really put me on the right track and I ended up with a bunch of amazing views from the Albany Covered Bridge to lower falls to the gorge to the falls and more. I was so caught up, that I didn't take as many photos as I should have, but the camera was also not capturing what I was seeing. So incredible! What's even better is that the park was not very crowded and so it was peaceful and many moments, I had the park all to myself. There were so many amazing moments that it's just so hard to put into words. The only disappointing moment was the fact that one trail was closed, so I didn't get as up close of a view of the falls as I had hoped, but regardless, I still saw them and soaked it all in. The drive out of the park was also amazing and got to see the former location of the old man on the mountain. From there, I ventured into Bernie's state of Vermont. The city was not what I expected for a capital, but regardless, Montpelier has a nice feel to it and the buildings are beautiful. I stopped by the Vermont State House and then ventured to one of the city's best restaurants before turning in to get some work done. I wanted to rest after a long day and with another long trek tomorrow, I need as much energy as possible. While I move more into the city environments soon, it was nice to see Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont today and I look forward to another three state swing tomorrow.
