~:[CH5 - Day 120]: ~ Friday's Issue

~:[CH5 - Day 120]: ~ Friday's Issue
I woke up and new the day would be a tough one. My head was spinning a bit, as my cold got a little worse, but I knew I had to go to school today. I ran into my best friend Jepsen with his "We Have Issues" shirt. The shirt fits him well and perfectly played into my charade for the day. It distracted me from  how I was feeling. I was able to get a lot of grading done on the day and began finishing up the projects, leaving just the videos themselves to grade. Fabulous! Lunch brought another stressful point as it was the day to reward my class for their generosity during Pennies for Patients. Since the three classes raised over $2,100 even though they were not in the competition, I bought them pizza! I lugged over 30 pizzas and quickly setup after the bell rang and the room cleared out. I was happy that the students left full, as I am always afraid it won't be enough. It ended up being enough and while it added to the stress of the day, it was well worth it all for all the work that they did to raise the funds that they did! I spent practice going over entries to make sure everyone's was final, as today was the final day to make changes, which also meant, I would be home accepting them. After a successful weight room, I grabbed some TapEx and headed home, as while I was going to go to the play, my cold was telling me otherwise. I decided to listen. Sadly, that meant I would have to watch the Clippers lose a valiant effort in game 6, where they lost even more of their athletes, however, at least the painful events that were piling on top of one another will cease to exist any longer. While there will be no doubt that there will be many changes ahead, I am hoping for a lineup that can take the team to the next level. I could be dreaming, but being sick, it played right into my head-spinning day. I did not go to sleep after the game, however, as I was waiting for all entries to come in. As usual, people did not listen to the directions and submitted items past the deadline and expect it to be done. I am one who misses deadlines, but at least I assume that it may not be taken care of because it was my fault. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't, but when you miss a deadline AND expect it to be taken care of, I think some work needs to be done there. Regardless, I used it as fuel to motivate myself to get things done. I finished very early in the morning and headed to bed, waiting to review the file again until I was more awake and aware. I had my issues today, but definitely did not let those issues stop me from taking care of business.
