~:[CH5 - Day 113]: ~ The Graduating Class
It was almost 5am and I was just getting to sleep. The conversion issues on top of the titling issues lead to limited time to edit the video, sadly. I couldn't fix all of the titling issues, but gladly, I was able to complete the video. I woke up an hour later and then worked a bit more before heading off to work. It was an exhausting day. I finished burning the video at practice and then headed to the banquet. It was definitely a day dedicated to basketball. Every moment of the experience was bittersweet. This year, the seniors are apart of my graduating class as well. There have been so many wonderful memories from the trips to Sea World, the upsets, the records, the technicals and even being called a moron (right Brian?). I know there will be a little emptiness in me when I leave, but I think it is about the right time. I will miss working with my brother the most. He is so incredibly dedicated to what he does and rarely gets as much credit as he deserves. He always plays the David versus Goliath as teams always seem to tower over us, however, he doesn't resort to recruiting athletes to make his teams better, he develops his players, makes them better, and does his best to make them work together. He is one of the best with the XO's and sees things that very few other coaches will be able to see. When I see how much he loves what he does, it inspires me to be better. I really thank you for the opportunity you provided to me fourteen years ago to coach and if you even look further back, when I helped you coach the freshman my senior year in high school. But alas, the feeling of completion came over me, as the stress disappeared and while not completely satisfied with the work I created, I was definitely happy I was able to complete it for these seniors and for the team. I will miss all those who I have worked with and all of the experiences and to all players past and present, thank you for making me a better person and showing me more about this world through this experience.
