~:[CH5 - Day 128]: ~ In a Fairy Tale
I planned to sleep in late after league finals ran long and I got home past midnight after dinner. I knew I needed rest because later in the day, we had prom. I did some odds and ends before heading out on my way to the Phoenix Club. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how beautiful and magnificent everyone looked as they arrived, as prom is the night that everyone has their chance to look and feel like a king or a queen. As I wandered the grounds of the site, I started to see how in reality, our lives can all be that fairy tale. We really have the choice to make our lives a fairy tale. How? In the end, a fairy tale is nothing more than what we imagine our perfect ending to be. It's all about perspective. I may not live a glamorous life in the car I drive or live in a multi-million dollar home or own my own private jet, but I live a life where I've got to see the world, do things I never thought I would have, and work some place where I am at my happiest. As I wandered the grounds and encountered student after student and colleague after colleague, I thought to myself, life truly has become a fairy tale. Sure there will be tragedy and death, failures, and heartaches, but each fairy tale story has its share and it's whether we let all the dirt pile up or sweep it away so that our road ahead is just as magical as the last. As the carriage rolled through the grounds of the site, with it rolled another page in this fairy tale that will live with me for the rest of my days. With every person I ran across, I couldn't help think, nothing could beat this. I'll prepare myself for the trials and tribulations ahead, but know that with the right perspective, in the end, the ending will be just as great as today, tomorrow, and the next day. As I thought I arrived at the last page today's story, I came home to do the chore of trying to fix a clogged drain, only to be succeeded with the greatest moment of the day, sharing a late night meal with my mother on what ended up being our first meal of mother's day. Let our fairy tale adventures continue by allowing ourselves to live happily every after.
