~:[CH5 - Day 138]: ~ Piecing It Together

~:[CH5 - Day 138]: ~ Piecing It Together
It was one of my favorite days in Econ, exchange rates day! It's always great to see the stress of trying to convert different items into 15 different currencies. We should have done it by hand, however, I was nice and let them use calculators. Regardless, they figured it out pretty fast and we got a number of them completed. With only a few rounding mistakes. The freshman classes also provided some good times as the Cuban Missile Crisis came alive. One group had a paper plane making competition as "missiles" to see who had the best long range missiles. Mine flew from the 300 building clear to the 400 building and in the final round, mine ended up on the roof. Oh well, it was worth losing to win or did I really lose? The other projects also had interesting moments from a nuclear drill, to great power points and fun activities. It's great to see some creativity and in exchange, good scores. After grabbing Northern Cafe and having a canceled visitor and meeting, I ventured out to collect more bags before calling it a day at work. I did a little more work at home before heading off to meet with an alumni who had some questions. It's always great to catch up and also to help out, as we all need someone to ask questions to and I was glad to be of service. In the end, we work things out and it helped me remember some things I needed to do. I worked more on my Asia itinerary and just have a few more things to do before I call it a night. It was a great day and even when I had so many different little things to do, it simply came together in the end.
