~:[CH12 - Day 14]:~ Pouring Rain = Beautiful Gardens

It started raining during the conference on Saturday. We knew going in that this would be the case, but when it was time to leave, it was pouring. My freshman were engaged, but had their own struggle, while the sophomores who I taught last year, seemed to thrive. For the freshmen, this moment was the pouring rain. It was a storm they were facing, as they battled the cold and the dampness of the day. For the sophomores, it was the moments after the rain. For them, they found the beautiful gardens that bloom after facing the storm. Without that rain, nothing in that garden would grow. Just as they struggled a year ago, the storm they faced allowed them to bloom into the delegates they are today. In the end, we had eight sophomores who won best delegate awards and a number others who excelled. To see them break through and bloom was definitely a pleasure, as I know that this is only the start. While we may face these challenging storms in our life, I hope we keep pushing forward, tending to our garden and know that when we keep at it, eventually we will find ourselves standing in the middle of a beautiful garden thanks to the challenging storms of our past. It's never easy to face these challenges, but when we do, I hope we see what awaits us in the end - a beautiful garden.
