~:[CH13 - Day 59]:~ The Search
I was waiting for a clear day and today the skies cleared, maybe too much. It ended up being a warm day as the students ran around campus searching for clues. The game is the imperialism game where the students answer questions on imperialism as they try to colonize the campus. I've wrote about it before, but it is always something I enjoy sharing as it brings a different vibe to the lessons we learn. Some groups really get into it, while others just kind of go through the motions, but for all of them, they have a choice on how they go about their search in life. Some will find many more opportunities for success as they are motivated during their search, while those who didn't, may later realize that they should have put in a little more effort. No matter how they were today, I hope that later on in life, they all find the importance of making the effort and doing their best so that they have the most opportunities in life. Sadly, not all of them will take that initiative, but if I can get just one more students to do it, it will be worth the effort in the end. By activity's end, I felt like a good chunk of my students enjoyed the experience as they were anticipating what the second day of the simulation was all about. As while I wish that they could get all of the questions right, I'll be satisfied if today they learn, they grew, and found something useful during their search,
