~:[CH8 - Day 3]:~ Out of this World

~:[CH8 - Day 3]:~ Out of this World
I got another glimpse of Odaiba from above and caught up with friends from Taiwan, Japan, and an alum from Cerritos and propelled the day into something that was out of the world. The day was centered around the teamLab Planets exhibition which was quite the experience, as they continue to throw what an art exhibit is like out the door. The things done in this exhibit would probably never fly in the United States, but an exhibit that interacts with you, leaves you in awe and keeps wanting to experience more, definitely has succeeded. I watched as a girl ran across the water-filled reflective room, as she tried to catch the koi fish projected on the water below. As she did they would swim off and in some cases, disappear. It was amazing how the installation was programmed and setup and despite the awkwardness of wading through water, it was magical and indescribable. It was some similarities to the teamLab Borderless exhibit which has exploded in popularity, but it was nice that it had a timed entrance so you didn't have to deal with the craziness of the lines in Odaiba. As I looked out the glass carriage of the ferris wheel, I thought of the wonderful world that was around me, similar to that feel that I had while catching up with my friends, and just like the exhibit today, together, it was all out of this world. By night's end, our plans had not worked out completely, but that cannot be something that ruins a perfectly amazing day, one that you'd have to see to believe.
