~:[CH8 - Day 31]:~ You Will Be Found
We ventured through the Underground of Seattle, through Pikes Place, down Post Alley to the pier and over to the sculpture garden before calling it a day. While many of the events of the day were thrilling, it was the evening that capped off the day and highlighted it as well. As we ventured into Dear Evan Hansen, most were not prepared for the emotional message it portrayed. With many messages portrayed and with a goal not to give away any part of the show, ultimately, the phrase, "you will be found" stuck with me. I think life, we always have a point in our lives where we feel lost, afraid or alone. Sometimes it's more than others, but we always must remind ourselves that we are not alone. We have people that even when we sink to the lowest depths or the darkest of corners that will find us and reach out their hand for us. Life is definitely challenging, but we will always have those around us ready to help us fight the battle alongside us, whether we realize it or not. The musical was a reminder to look out for those who need us to reach out to them, while at the same time to know that we also need to reach out for others when we fall into these circumstances. I loved the reaction of the students and hope that the message sticks with them, as high school is one of those times where this message is most needed.
