~:[CH8 - Day 8]:~ The Sun Rose Today
I laid in my bed and somehow I left the curtain open just a bit. Normally, I would close it completely before going to bed, but this time, I ended up not doing it. In the morning, the sun poked through and I woke up to see the sun rise perfect between two buildings in the distance. It was quite glorious but also reminded me that everyday that the sun rises is a special one. We often look forward to moments and events that are upcoming, but isn't every day the sun rises one to appreciate and to look forward to? Today was my last full day in Seoul and I tried to make the most of it by venturing out around to different neighborhoods and trying to find new places to visit. There wasn't anything special about the day itself aside from a meet up with a friend for a chat, but ordinary can still be extraordinary. Why? It's because the sun rose today and that in itself is extraordinary. I think that we all, myself included, look for that Instagramable moment and seek out that adventure, but in reality those moments which are most extraordinary aren't ones that can always be captured and are the ones we should truly be on the lookout for. As I wandered the streets just soaking it all in, I knew that it was not Instagramable, that the moment I was experience was quite special. Yes, the sun rose today and for that, I know it was a great one.
